Lately, two topics filled up all the news headline in Indonesia: IPDN case and Virginia Tech case. Well I have comments for the IPDN case. Both of the case above involving victims (killed! murdered!). The difference is, the murder in the IPDN is a LEGALIZED murder! Though in this case only one victim involved, but the practice of violence in IPDN (Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri/Institute for Public Administration) itself has occured since a long time ago. Since 1990, up to 37 of its students have died (another source says it’s 46), so this is not the first time. However, one of its alumnus (in a Friendster testimonial) said in bahasa, “Just because of 37 students’ death, our school has to be closed? I’m not agree!” What the….??? The word “JUST” itself has already showed us how brutal this institute is. IMHO from my point of view, this guy is CRAZY.
FYI [OOT], recently the FAA made a press release about lowering safety rating for Indonesia, which means then: US warns citizens against flying on Indonesian airlines. Why? Because there were THREE U.S. citizens flying on Indonesia’s airline Adam Air, which were missing. Three, but it’s already enough for a country to ban its citizen flying ANOTHER COUNTRY’s airlines. Because human life is NOT negotiable. How come those IPDN alumnus said “JUST”?? What if I say, “Just because of a few airplane crash, doesn’t mean we have to be more serious about flight safety”? Or “Thousands of flight have been successfully made by Adam Air, so a few plane crash won’t matter. Coz the ratio is small, ya know?” Is it OK to say that? No, it’s NOT OK. It’s NUTS. IPDN alumnus has been brainwashed by the corrupted education system. They’re so shallow-minded, yet they are the ones who will hold the government’s position in the future… now THAT’s what I call SCARY!
One testimonial from IPDN’s ex-student can be read here in PintuNet, which claims to be stating the real IPDN condition. But it’s written under “college in DKI Jakarta”, whilst IPDN is in West Java, so I don’t have any comment about its truthfulness.
The government (president) itself has been urged by many (one of them is Aksa Mahmud, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR)) to disband IPDN (read it in TempoInteractive here). Yet…, … (I don’t have to continue this sentence, since most of you reading this should already know how Indonesia’s government is).
According to Kombor’s report, IPDN’s Friendster profile is now restricted, its view is limited to direct friends only. Wanna know why? Well I guess it’s not about shame. More likely it’s about them, who want to hide the truth, that all they know is justifying their wrongdoings, cover up the true story, and pay no respect of human’s life.
Therefore, I signed the petition asking president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, to disband IPDN.
The petition itself was created by ‘Anto’ (see his blog here). My signature number is 547. I signed only once because I want the petition to be clean, no duplicate voters. Should you share the same aspiration as me, then sign the petition, click the banner:
